What People Say

I have been doing pelvic floor physical therapy with Dr. Leeza for several months, I’ve had a very positive experience. From the beginning, she’s been professional, approachable, and consistently made me feel at ease—something that’s especially important when addressing sensitive health concerns.

Leeza takes the time to explain how everything in the body is connected and helped me treat pelvic floor dysfunction holistically. Her educational approach was crucial because it made me feel more in control of my own health. Alongside traditional physical therapy techniques, she incorporated dry needling where appropriate, which was a great addition to my treatment plan and noticeably increased my progress.

I’ve seen significant improvement since starting PT and feel much better overall. I can confidently recommend Leeza to anyone seeking thoughtful, evidence-based care for pelvic floor dysfunction.

I initially met Leeza in physical therapy sessions to prepare for a hip replacement procedure.  I continued with physical therapy after surgery and my recovery was incredible. In addition to physical therapy I now work with Leeza for personal training. She established a workout plan that I can follow at home and has helped me establish an exercise regime as I age that is focused on me. I have always been active and she has educated me on how to remain so. She is excellent.

Leeza Meteleva has been a lifesaver for my tendonitis. As an avid marathon runner, I hit a wall with my tendonitis pain and nothing seemed to help. After struggling with chronic posterior tendonitis pain for years (!!) along with other tendonitis flare-ups, I decided to explore dry needling and ultimately made an appointment with Leeza. I was in the middle of marathon training and had a lot of tendonitis pain throughout my body and was very unsure that I would even be able to reach the start line. After a couple sessions of physical therapy, including building strength, stretching and dry needling, I found myself ready to take on the Chicago Marathon. And, not only did I get to the start line of the marathon, but I finished the marathon! I am so grateful for Leeza because without her, I do not think I would have been able to run and get through 26.2 miles, and the fact that I was able to do it with limited pain was incredible. The dry needling treatments have provided so much relief, and Leeza’s personalized approach to my recovery has been incredibly effective. I’m now almost pain-free and able to enjoy working out again. If you’re dealing with tendonitis or any musculoskeletal issues, I highly recommend Leeza! She’s professional, skilled, kind, passionate, and truly cares about her patients.

Dr. Meteleva is the most knowledgeable PT I have been to. I had a shoulder injury from Jiu Jitsu, she was able to diagnose the problem, taught me some recovery exercises, told me what to do and maybe more importantly what not to do during recovery. I was back on the mats within a couple weeks. Can’t recommend her enough, I have since sent numerous friends and family her way for treatment.

I’ve had problems with my muscles, joints, tendons etc. over the years mostly from overuse, and incorrect form.  I had been treated by Leeza Meteleva through physical therapy for various injuries. She taught me the correct form for my rehab for my hamstring and other injuries. But last summer I was diagnosed with a torn tendon and ligament in my right elbow. After many months of PT, I decided to get Platelet Rich Plasma injected into my elbow (with her blessing).  While my elbow started to feel much better I developed a rare side-effect, frozen shoulder.  After being treated for that by my orthopedist, Leeza and I started an intensive rehab for both my shoulder and elbow. After just a few weeks I started to feel better enough to start strength exercises. One unique aspect of Leeza’s approach is dry needling.  Dry needling can speed up the healing process; she knows the anatomy so well and I always feel better after a treatment.

I was so impressed by Leeza’s approach, I decided to privately hire Leeza to be my trainer.  Knowing my past injuries she focused on form while also challenging me to work on progressively more difficult exercises. Today I feel stronger and healthier than I have in years. Leeza and I continue to work together weekly and for the first time I am feeling confident that I can do challenging exercises and not re-injure myself. Even more importantly, sports that I could not do without pain, (softball and golf) I am now able to do without restriction. I cannot recommend Leeza enough; she is the consummate professional and I’m lucky to have her as part of my team!
