Physical Therapy for Hypermobility & Connective Tissue Disorders
Living with hypermobility or a connective tissue disorder can make everyday movement feel unpredictable. Joint instability, persistent muscle tension, pain, fatigue, and recurrent injuries can affect everything from exercise and work to everyday activities. Physical therapy can play an important role in helping you build strength, improve stability, and move with greater confidence.
At Revive Physical Therapy & Wellness, we provide individualized, evidence-informed care for people with hypermobility and connective tissue disorders, including hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS), generalized joint hypermobility, and related conditions. Every treatment plan is tailored to your unique symptoms, goals, activity level, and lifestyle, recognizing that no two individuals experience hypermobility the same way.
As both a physical therapist and a dancer with more than 20 years of experience, I have a deep appreciation for the unique movement patterns, strengths, and challenges that often accompany hypermobile bodies. My goal is to help you develop the strength, control, and confidence needed to support long-term function, not simply manage symptoms.
Treatment may include:
- Individualized strengthening programs to improve joint stability
- Neuromuscular training to enhance balance, coordination, and proprioception
- Education on activity modification, pacing, and symptom management
- Manual therapy, when appropriate
- Dry needling to address muscle tension and pain
- Cupping therapy to assist with soft tissue mobility
- Progressive exercise that builds resilience while respecting your body’s current capacity
Rather than focusing only on areas of pain, I evaluate how your entire body moves. By improving movement quality, muscular support, and joint control, our goal is to reduce unnecessary strain, improve function, and help you participate more comfortably in the activities that matter most to you.
While my practice is not exclusively dedicated to Ehlers-Danlos syndrome or connective tissue disorders, I stay current with the evolving research surrounding hypermobility and provide care informed by the latest evidence and clinical best practices. When appropriate, I also collaborate with or refer to other healthcare professionals to ensure you receive the most comprehensive care possible.
Whether you’ve recently been diagnosed with hEDS, generalized joint hypermobility, or another connective tissue disorder, or you’ve simply struggled with recurring joint pain, instability, or frequent injuries, we can work together to determine whether physical therapy is the right next step for you.
If you have questions about your symptoms or whether my approach is a good fit, I’d be happy to discuss your concerns and help you decide if we’re the right match for your care.

Dry Needling
Looking for an effective way to relieve muscle pain, tightness, and limited mobility? At Revive Physical Therapy & Wellness, we offer dry needling — a modern, evidence-based technique designed to release tension, improve circulation, and promote healing.
Our skilled physical therapists use fine, sterile needles to target muscle “trigger points.” This precise approach helps restore muscle function and provides rapid relief for many orthopedic and sports-related conditions.
Dry needling is often paired with manual therapy and exercise to help you move better, recover faster, and stay pain-free.

Continuity of Care
What happens after you get better?
Most people finish physical therapy… and then stop. Progress fades, old patterns return, and injuries resurface. At Revive Physical Therapy & Wellness, we bridge that gap.
Our one-on-one wellness training sessions are designed as a natural continuation after rehab—guided by a licensed physical therapist who understands your body, your history, and your goals. This isn’t a generic workout. It’s a personalized, clinically informed program that builds on your progress and keeps you moving forward.
We focus on strength, movement quality, pelvic floor integration, and injury prevention—so you don’t just feel better temporarily, you stay better. With expert supervision, you’ll continue to refine movement, address imbalances early, and build long-term resilience.
